Man, you Got to be crazy. How in the world, you nitwits, can you DARE sell this joke, without having part 2,of the track ,"Love don't love nobody".
The 70's were a great decade for great music. Spinners fans must have this CD. Has all the top hits.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves this group. Just what you would expect from the Spinners. Not a bad song on the album.
Simply put, this is a must have for a true Music Collector, or lover. Expect most of the songs to be love songs, but there is other topics. Production wise it pulls influence from both Soul, and Disco, which is an interesting combo, because I hate disco but like Soul, and I LOVE this. Cop this.STANDOUT TRACKS:Quite honestly, sense this is a greatest hits of a great group, I can't choose. The songwriters for The Spinners were in the background, but should not be treated second rate. This is by far the best and cheapest 1 disc collection of The Spinners incredible Discography that I have ever seen, and the inside booklet also includes a nice little narraration of the group themselves.
Expect Dense instrumentation, much more dense, and plush than most of the Music of this genre at the time. I enjoy the interesting Social Commentary on Poverty and the effect it can have on a childs self esteem on "Ghetto Child". Where to start with The Spinners themselves. They had skill. Every track is a beuitiful peice of art. They are incredible, and thru-out quite a few personnel changes they still kept there essance. If you purchase this, expect to hear a talented gifted lead singer, with a crew of equally talented singers backing him up.
Lyrically they are solid too.
For these wanting more, get "Definitive Soul", their 2-disc greatest hits which came out (also from Rhino) last year. This is for those who only want one disc of The Spinners very best songs. I ordered this for my mom. She loves the whole disc thus 5 stars.
